School History

St. Peter's SS Bombo-Kalule was founded by Oweekitiibwa Dr. Ronald Mulondo (PhD) (currently Kkangaawo-Bulemeezi) and started on 7th February 2011 after him becoming the winner of the ‘Entandaya Buganda’ in 2009

In 2009 December, the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald MuwendaMutebi II crowned Ronald Mulondo as the Muzira Mu Bazira of CBS FM and as a prize. He was rewarded with the land on which the school seats today. The Professional teacher with a wide range of teaching and administrative experience, decided to set up a quality Secondary school to achieve the National and Kingdom’s Educational objectives of extending education to all Children of Uganda.

Why it was named Saint Peter?
Why the School is Named Saint Peter Saint Peter (died AD 64–68) was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ. Originally named Simon, Jesus renamed him Peter, meaning "rock", and declared: “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church.” (Matthew 16:18) He became the first bishop of Rome (Pope) and a foundational leader of the early Christian Church, symbolizing unshakable faith, resilience, and strong foundation.

St. Peter’s Secondary School Bombo Kalule was named after him to reflect these same values. Just as Saint Peter became the rock upon which the Church was built, the school aims to be a solid foundation for quality education, moral formation, and character development.

The school’s own story mirrors this symbolism: it started humbly on one acre of land and has grown steadily to over 11 acres through hard work, vision, and perseverance — a living example of building something strong and lasting upon a firm rock.

The name Saint Peter therefore inspires the school community to uphold faith, discipline, resilience, and excellence, producing graduates who stand as reliable “rocks” in their families and nation.
